Camila Cabello’s Continued Support for Fifth Harmony
Camila Cabello has shown her unwavering support for her former Fifth Harmony bandmates during the group’s first performance together in over six years. The reunion took place at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, where the group performed as special guests during the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour on August 31.
Although Cabello, 28, did not perform with them, she took to Instagram to express her support. She commented on a video shared by Fifth Harmony, which showcased members Lauren Jauregui, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Ally Brooke as they performed their iconic single “Worth It.” Cabello added four red heart emojis, likely acknowledging her former bandmates in a heartfelt gesture.
The Reunion Performance
During their performance, Normani greeted the crowd by saying, “Y’all remember Fifth Harmony,” before the group launched into a carefully choreographed routine that included their hit “Work From Home.” This marked a significant moment for fans, as it was the band’s first live appearance together in years.
Future Prospects and Previous Hiatus
The performance follows reports from The Hollywood Reporter indicating that Fifth Harmony members are in discussions for a potential documentary and tour. Just hours before their unexpected appearance, the group generated excitement by posting on social media for the first time since 2018, using the hashtag #FifthHarmonyFollowSpree.
The last official concert for Fifth Harmony took place at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, on May 11, 2018, shortly after the announcement of an indefinite hiatus as members pursued solo careers. Cabello had left the group earlier on December 19, 2016, with Fifth Harmony releasing a statement via X (formerly Twitter) that expressed their well wishes for her decision. At that time, they stated, “After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.”
Cabello later shared her feelings regarding the split, saying, “As sad as it is to see this chapter ending this way, I will continue to root them all on as individuals and as a group. I wish nothing but the best for them, all the success in the world, and true happiness.”
