Marshall Unveils Mid-Century-Inspired Heston 60 Soundbar at IFA 2025

by October 21, 2025

Introduction to the Heston 60

Marshall has expanded its range of audio equipment with the introduction of the Heston 60 soundbar at IFA 2025. This new model is a compact version that complements the previously released Heston 120.

Design Features

Staying true to its mid-century aesthetic, the Heston 60 features a design reminiscent of classic Marshall amplifiers. It boasts tactile controls—buttons instead of knobs, like those on the Heston 120—along with woven fabric and PU leather finishes. The soundbar is available in cream or black, with the cream variant being particularly favored.

Specifications and Differences

Although the Heston 60 maintains a similar appearance to its larger counterpart, there are notable differences. The Heston 60 is more compact, making it suitable for smaller spaces, though it offers less powerful sound. Key specifications include:

  • Seven amplifiers, compared to the Heston 120’s 11
  • Total power of 56W, significantly less than the 150W peak power of the Heston 120

While some may find the reduced power a drawback, the Heston 60 comes with unique features that enhance its usability.

Versatility and Repairability

One standout feature of the Heston 60 is its versatility in installation. It can be wall-mounted or placed on a TV stand, depending on user preference. The soundbar utilizes specially designed waveguides and angled drivers to optimize audio output in various orientations. Additionally, its reversible control allows users to adapt the soundbar’s functionality to its setup.

The Heston 60 prioritizes repairability, featuring replaceable components such as the speaker grill, end caps, drivers, and circuit boards—elements essential to the soundbar’s performance.

Connectivity and Audio Modes

In terms of connectivity, the Heston 60 is well-equipped with:

  • HDMI 2.1 eARC
  • 3.5mm jack
  • Bluetooth 5.3

It is compatible with AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect. The soundbar features multiple audio modes:

  • Music and Movie Modes: Standard sound setups for general use.
  • Voice Mode: Enhances dialogue clarity for movie watching, ideal for subtitle users.
  • Night Mode: Reduces the volume of loud sound effects for nighttime viewing without disturbing others.

Introduction of Heston Sub 200

Alongside the Heston 60, Marshall is launching the Heston Sub 200, a subwoofer that exhibits a similar design ethos. This wireless subwoofer maintains the amp-inspired aesthetic and emphasizes repairability. It is compatible with the Heston 120 soundbar for users already invested in Marshall’s audio ecosystem.

Pricing and Availability

Both the Heston 60 and the Heston Sub 200 are set to be officially launched on September 23, with price points of $699 and $599, respectively. As with previous Marshall products, these new offerings reflect the brand’s commitment to quality and mid-century design.
